1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Educastic, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Educastic on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Accounts and roles
- Learners join educasts, series and courses.
- Instructors create and teach them, and may sell paid sessions.
- Organizations manage groups of instructors and learners and are billed for their usage.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.
3. Educasts, series and courses
Instructors set the schedule, content and price of their educasts. Educastic provides the platform, including the whiteboard, recordings and certificates, but is not responsible for the teaching content itself.
4. Instructor content and licence
Instructors keep ownership of the material they upload. By publishing it on Educastic, you give us a non-exclusive licence to host, stream, record and display it to the learners you invite or who enrol, for as long as it stays on the platform.
5. Fees, instructor earnings and payouts
Prices are shown before you pay. For paid educasts, Educastic keeps a platform commission and the remaining amount is credited to the instructor as earnings. Payout schedules and thresholds are shown in the instructor dashboard.
6. Refunds
If a paid educast is cancelled by the instructor, learners receive a full refund. Other refund requests are reviewed case by case through the Contact Us page.
7. Acceptable use
You must not share unlawful, hateful or infringing content, harass other users, record sessions without permission, or attempt to disrupt the platform. Any user can report abuse; we review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts.
8. Intellectual property
The Educastic name, logo, software and design belong to Educastic. You may not copy or reverse engineer them except as the law allows.
9. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties such as Google Meet, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and our payment provider. Their own terms apply to your use of those services.
10. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
11. Disclaimers
Educastic is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and secure but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Educastic is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Governing law
[Placeholder: governing law and jurisdiction to be confirmed by legal counsel.]
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will publish a new version here with a new effective date and notify you of material changes.
15. Contact
