1. Who we are
Educastic is an online teaching platform where instructors run live and scheduled educasts, series and courses, and learners and organizations take part in them. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
- Account and profile data: name, email address, gender, time zone, profile photo and, for instructors, the subjects you teach.
- Learning activity: educasts, series and courses you create, join or complete, attendance times, quiz and survey answers, and certificates issued.
- Classroom content: whiteboard drawings, uploaded documents and, when the instructor enables it, session recordings.
- Organization data: if your school or company manages your account, the organization, groups and roles it assigns to you.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and log data needed to keep the service secure.
3. Google Meet add-on and Google user data
When you use the Educastic add-on inside Google Meet, we receive your Google name, email address and the Meet session you joined, only to identify you on the shared whiteboard and to show the host who took part. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
4. Connected cloud drives
If you choose to connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, we access only the files you pick to import into an educast. We do not browse or copy the rest of your drive, and you can disconnect at any time.
5. Payments
Payments for paid educasts and plans are processed by our payment provider. We receive the transaction status and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number or security code.
6. How we use information
- To provide educasts, recordings, certificates and reports.
- To calculate instructor earnings and organization bills.
- To keep the platform safe, including reviewing abuse reports.
- To send service messages and, with your consent, product news.
7. Storage and security
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, using encryption in transit. Uploaded files and recordings are served through time-limited signed links.
8. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Recordings and uploaded files are kept until the instructor or organization deletes them. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep it (for example, payment records).

10. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data from your profile settings, or by contacting us. You can also object to marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
11. Children and young learners
Learners under 18 should use Educastic with the consent of a parent, guardian or their school. Organizations that enrol minors are responsible for obtaining that consent.
12. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country. When it is, we use appropriate safeguards so it stays protected.
13. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we will publish a new version here with a new effective date and let you know by email or in the platform.
